Yoga is for YOU

Yoga is a way of life. It is a way to quiet all the chatter of our minds, the busyness of the world around us, and reconnect to our most precious inner wisdom and truth. It is here, in this space that we can care for and tend to the complexities of being human.

Derived from the Sanskrit word yuj, Yoga means union of the individual consciousness or soul with the Universal Consciousness or Spirit. Yoga is a 5000-year-old Indian body of knowledge. Though many think of yoga only as a physical exercise where people twist, turn, stretch, and breathe, these are only the most superficial aspects of this profound science of unfolding the infinite potentials of the human mind and soul. The science of Yoga is that our practice on the mat creates the balance, flexibility, strength, tranquility, and peace that we want to take out into our daily lives off the mat.

Yoga is a way of life that supports you wherever you are at. Often, I hear people complain that they aren’t flexible, they aren’t strong, they have no balance, so yoga won’t work for them. My response is that yoga is the antidote to all of that. Yoga is a practice, it isn’t perfection, it isn’t about how we look to others. Yoga is about uniting your mind and body; it is about showing up to tend to and care for this human vessel we have for as long as we can. Yoga is a way of life that can support you in ever age, stage, and aspect of your journey. Yes, I believe yoga is for YOU.
